3 Days Mt Meru Hiking Momela Route

While all of our climbing itineraries are private, it is the policy on Mt. Meru for multiple tour groups to join together on the lower slopes.
For those pressed for time, the three-day option gives you the chance to the summit over a long weekend.
4 Days Mahale Chimpanzee Trekking
Famous for containing some of the last remaining wild chimpanzees in Africa, the Mahale Mountains National Park was gazetted in 1985, covers an area of 1 613 km² and is located about 128 km south of Kigoma town on the eastern shore of Lake Tanganyika. The western boundary of the park protects an adjacent 1.6 km wide strip of Lake Tanganyika’s waters. The land in and around Mahale is the traditional homeland of the Watongwe and Waholoholo tribes.
4 Days Mt Meru Hiking Momela Route
The peak can be ascended in 3 or 4 days on the Momela Route, which is the only way up to the summit. You don’t need any technical equipment for the climb but you will need to be prepared for the altitude gain. You will hike past wildlife, the landscape is spectacular, and sunrise on the summit has Kilimanjaro as the backdrop. Meru is a great preparation hike for climbing Kilimanjaro or a spectacular trek for those not compelled to do Kilimanjaro. The climb not only offers spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro but also wildlife on the forested slopes and the summit itself offers an amazing view of small cones and craters, which are probably the results of numerous volcanic activities in the past.

5 Days Kilimanjaro Hiking Marangu Route
The main tourist route and by far the most popular route and some claim the easiest route to Uhuru Peak. The 5-day option, which is available on this route, makes it the least expensive route on the mountain. A 6-day option with an extra day of acclimatization is however also available. This is the only route, which provides comfortable sleeping huts, equipped with beds and mattresses at every campsite. Mineral water, soft drinks, beer, and chocolates are also sold at every camp. All the camps on this route have radio contact with the Park Headquarters.

Considered to be the most beautiful and scenic of the various routes up Mount Kilimanjaro, the Machame Route is appropriate for more adventurous hikers who wish for a more physically demanding climb than Marangu or Rongai can offer. You can choose to complete this route in either six days or seven days.
One of the most breathtaking and popular routes on Mount Kilimanjaro, the Machame (or ‘Whiskey’) route contains some tough climbing that rewards those who prepare and endure when the going gets tough.
For those wanting a scenic climb and a physical challenge, Machame is the perfect combination.
6 Days Kilimanjaro Hiking Marangu Route
6 days kilimanjaro trekking marangu route. The route is perhaps the easiest and most comfortable so easy to reach the Kilimanjaro summit. The route is well-developed and the climb is constant and moderate. Only the approach to the summit is the exception but it is slightly more demanding. The accommodation on this tour is in simple mountain huts, which might be an advantage compering to the camping routes.
6 Days Kilimanjaro Hiking Rongai Route
The Rongai Route is the only route on the north-eastern part of the mountain. This route is gaining in popularity, because it is the second easiest after Marangu and it has amazing wilderness conditions.
The Rongai Route is recommended for climbers who want to avoid the huge numbers of climbers on other routes. This route can be started from the Tanzanian or the Kenyan side of the mountain and can be achieved in 6 days.
The Rongai Route is only used to climb up the mountain and at the final stage it joins up with the Marangu Route, which is also the ascending route. This route has lots of caves, which are partly also used as overnight accommodations.
The only Kilimanjaro route starting from the mountain’s north, the Rongai Route is one of the least travelled routes up the mountain.
A less steep, less crowded, and drier route due to its north-facing orientation, the Rongai Route is fast gaining in popularity with those wanting a unique climbing experience.
7 Days Kilimanjaro Hiking Lomosho Route
7 Days Lemosho Route – The lesser-known Lemosho route begins on the western side of Mt Kilimanjaro. The first 2 days of the tour cross the thick rainforest belt which then changes into heath and moorland with many ferns and ericas along the way. The small trail sometimes has very steep passages and goes through diverse landscapes. On the third day, the trail joins the Machame route. Compared to the Marangu and the Rongai route, the Lemosho route is more challenging.
